Some say the only good thing about this state visit by Fox to Chicago is that he is one of the few Mexicans now in the city legally.

Los Angeles Times (Free Registration)  City might drop day-laborer fee ...A new [Glendale, Calif.] city ordinance would change two things for unemployed people like Jose who regularly come to Glendale looking for day jobs. The ordinance would eliminate the $25 fee, but also make it illegal for them to stand on sidewalks or in parking lots to solicit work. -- If the City Council approves the ordinance Tuesday, the changes take effect July 1.

Arizona Daily Star Update  [Short-lived link] Second rollover in two days kills two illegal aliens Two more people are dead in yet another rollover, this time involving at least 25 illegal border crossers packed into a van that rolled just south of Florence Junction. -- Two people in the van were critically injured, said Ahr, adding that seven to 10 injured were taken to area hospitals.

According to tapes and translated transcripts provided by an apparent political opponent, Diaz told illegal aliens they could donate to the Cannon re-election campaign by finding a legal alien or citizen and having them make the actual donation.

KCAL-TV - Los Angeles Invaders and the usual suspects demand an end to law enforcement A brief report was shown on the air at 12:30 pm that included tape from a Latino protest, apparently held at a church in Maywood earlier today. Usual suspects, including state Sen. Gil Cedillo, Calif. Assembly Speaker and vehement Mexican reconquista Fabian Nunez, and Assemblyman Marco Firebaugh, demanded that Gov. Schwarzenegger and President Bush stop alleged immigration raids in invader-infested areas. It looked as if there were far less than 100 attendees at the protest. More later.
