16 defendants face one trial in Fresno kidnap, gang-rape

Setting the stage for what could be one of the largest multiple-defendant trials ever in Fresno, a judge ruled Monday that 16 defendants arrested in a sweeping gang-rape investigation will face trial together.
The defendants, most of whom are allegedly members of the Mongolian Boys Society - a predominantly Hmong gang accused of kidnapping young girls, raping them and forcing them into prostitution - face trial Dec. 27.
