Hoekstra Hints at House Capitulation
Immigration Provisions of Intelligence Bill May be Canned

Rep. Hoekstra: I can tell you that over the last four weeks we had this debate about immigration reform. What we have agreed on is that it needs to be dealt with, but we do not have a consistent and agreed upon strategy as to where we want to go. There are widely divergent opinions on this. We need to work through the process. Hey, I'd love to get it done too. I'd love to get it done now. I came out of the business world where we focused on results, but the bottom line is we don't have a consensus. It's going to take time and energy to get this done, but we shouldn't hold back this intelligence reform bill....
