Kolbe outspends Graf 8 to 1, wins primary

57 to 43 Percent
Proving once again that the uninformed voter can be hoodwinked with advertising, Rep. Jim Kolbe won his Republican primary race in Arizona against challenger Randy Graf. Kolbe, whose positions on most important issues, including illegal immigration, are contrary to the vast majority of Americans, especially Republicans, spent nearly $1 million spreading lies and distortions about Graf. "This loss proves once again that America is in an uphill fight against powerful special interests," said Glenn Spencer of American Patrol. Spencer says that Proposition 200 will give Arizona voters a real chance to express their opinion on the issue of illegal immigration this fall.
