Arizona Clergy Opposes Plan to Save Lives
New Border Patrol Initiative Aimed at Stopping Desert Crossers

Reporter Elizabeth Dowell: The clergy say the increased border patrol has forced immigrants to take dangerous routes leading to thousands of desert deaths which is why they oppose the Border Patrol's new effort to seal the border. The Border Patrol says the increased manpower will actually save lives.
Glenn Spencer: If they do achieve their objective, no one will die in the desert this summer. And I cannot imagine why religious leaders would oppose that.
