Used Car Dealership Fined For 'No Spanish Guides' The Santa Clara County District Attorney's Office announced today that a Gilroy used car dealership was fined for failing to provide Spanish language buyer's guides to its Spanish-speaking customers. The Double R Car Company located in Gilroy has agreed to pay civil penalties and costs of over $6,000 and to begin providing the Spanish language guides to Spanish- speaking customers. |

Health Care Services Overwhelmed L.A. Latinos have less access to medical services, says studies The HOPE Center Project for health issues has determined in a study conducted on Hispanics in El Paso, Los Angeles and Fresno that immigrants use health plans in California and Texas less frequently than any other minority group. Mark Beck, the doctor who headed the investigation into the HOPE Center, said on Monday that immigrants, particularly those who are illegal, avoid the use of public services for fear of being deported. |
