Ultralight Assault
"Yes" fly zone used by smugglers
American Patrol Report -- October 2
Reports by SecureBorderIntel.org show that smugglers are increasing their use of ultralight aircraft to smuggle drugs into the U.S. As we reported last Sunday, an ultralight was tracked to a drop zone 74 miles north of the border.
One day later, U.S. Border Patrol agents were told to "Be on the Lookout" (BOLO) for an ultralight aircraft spotted in the area Federal Route 1 on the Tohono O'odham Indian Reservation, headed north east. It was later spotted near SR 86 and Federal Route 15. No other reports were available.
All indications are that the Department of Homeland Security takes no action to interdict these aircraft. And, according to reports, the U.S. does not prosecute persons involved in smuggling less than 500 pounds of marijuana.
So, it appears that smugglers can fly into the U.S. over and over again until they get their loads of 250 pounds of marijuana through.
If the DHS doesn't care about low-flying aircraft entering the U.S. then why would they spend nearly $100-million for a radar system designed to detect them?
Now, when will terrorists figure out that they can fly a WMD into the U.S., making it appear that they are drug smugglers?

It's a good thing Romney didn't pick Rubio for VP candidate
