DHS Negligence Led to Monument Fire
Feds failed to use simple method to secure the border
American Border Patrol -- June 22
The Monument Fire that has devastated the Coronado National Monument, the Huachuca Mountains and the surrounding communities, could have been easily prevented. The fire was most likely started in Mexico by persons involved in smuggling. Had the Department of Homeland Security secured the border in the area where the fire started, there would have been no reason for people to be in the area – and no one to start the fire.
Owing to the unique topography on the border where the fire started, it would have been simple for DHS to install a camera system to monitor ten miles of the border, five miles east and five miles west, on a continuous basis. Each and every attempt to cross the border would have been detected and an interdiction made. After a while, persons would have abandoned the area as unproductive. There would have been no one there to start the Monument Fire.
American Border Patrol operated such as camera from its ranch five miles east of the suggested camera location with great success.
"For at least four years we have asked why such camera system was not installed, but couldn't get a satisfactory answer," said Glenn Spencer of American Border Patrol.

Fox blows it again -- says Huntsman 'passes the conservative muster'
In a previous article it was reported that Fox News has a distinct penchant for pumping and priming northeastern liberal establishment Republicans rather than conservatives. Keep in mind that one does not have to live in the northeast to be part of that establishment, which brings us to newly-announced GOP candidate Jon Huntsman of Utah. Fox had blown it again by gushing over Huntsman...

Offshoring has ruined income and employment prospects for America
These are discouraging times, but once in a blue moon a bit of hope appears. I am pleased to report on the bit of hope delivered in March of 2011 by Michael Spence, a Nobel prize-winning economist, assisted by Sandile Hlatshwayo, a researcher at New York University. The two economists have taken a careful empirical look at jobs offshoring and concluded that it has ruined the income and employment prospects for most Americans...

Does SB 9 mean Texans are finally fighting back?
It's puzzled me for years how that Texans have allowed their state to be overrun by illegal immigration.
