Dismisses Huntington
Dr. Samuel Huntington, Harvard Univ.:
I think changes are taking place which
could lead America to become a country with essentially two
languages and two cultures. In the past, it has always been
immigration with assimilation. And the issue now with respect
to Hispanic, in particular Mexican immigration, is that whether
assimilation is going to continue in the way it has in the past.
Hinojosa: So far there's little data to support or disprove
Huntington's fears. There are many people who reject his argument.

...I take my politics seriously, and this leads
me to dig a little deeper to understand the true nature of the
people and the issues I support and vote for - it was not always
that way. So, at the Lake House forum, I was very interested

almost all other issues... [Conti is challenging Rep.
