Candidates
split on invasion issue, but not like you'd expect
Sen. John Kerry may be a liberal and
President Bush a conservative, but when the subject of immigration
finally came up in their debates, the two seemed to switch roles.
-- Bush spoke with compassion at Wednesday night's final debate
about Mexican workers coming north "to put food on the table
for their families," while Kerry slammed Bush for "the
fact that we now have people from the Middle East, allegedly,
coming over the border." |
