Driver
in fatal crash with invaders gets 15-to-life sentence
The driver of a truck in which three
illegal immigrants were fatally injured in a freeway crash was
sentenced today to 15 years to life in state prison. -- Carlos
Sanchez Moreno pleaded guilty Oct. 6 to three counts of second-degree
murder. He was sentenced by Judge Herbert Exarhos.  |

found nine illegal aliens hidden in a secret compartment under
the bed of a tractor-trailer Monday night, officials said. --
The illegal aliens were part of a group of 12 illegal aliens
found riding in the truck and gave agents working the Interstate
8 checkpoint near Mohawk Valley their second hidden- compartment
discovery in less than a week.  |
