Hannity
and Colmes - November 18
Colmes: Let's see how far you want to go.
You know that two men on May 12th, two Arizona ranchers, with
high-powered hunting rifles, critically wounded a guy, this guy
named Palafox. Shot at four men with him who are missing. Other
people are being accused of taking people, holding them, tying
them down - doing this on their own. do you support this activity?
Simcox: Sure, if it means protecting
our national security.

Colmes:
"You have the Barnett brothers who have
stopped vans and trucks on the public highway illegally, searched
illegal immigration. When they found people they've arrested
them, tied them and radioed the INS."
THIS IS NOT TRUE. The Barnetts
have never stopped anyone on public highways illegally, nor have
they searched people or tied anyone up.
E-mail Alan Colmes!
Demand that he retract the false statements about
the Barnett brothers. In addition, the alleged
incident involving Palafox was May 12, 2000, not this year,
and is questionable at best. Colmes needs to get his facts straight.

GOP
Targets Pro-borders Tancredo
Rep. Tom
Tancredo, the nation's most outspoken opponent of the invasion
of illegal aliens, is being targeted for defeat - not by the
Democrats, but by the GOP establishment. -- His "criticisms
of President Bush's immigration policy bought him a 40-minute
rebuke earlier this year from Bush adviser Karl Rove, who, in
the Congressman's own words, warned him 'never to darken the
door of the White House again,'" Roll
Call reported Monday. |

Somali
advocates concerned about INS detentions
Somali community activists want more
than two dozen of their countrymen released from their cells
on bail while awaiting deportations. -- Omar Jamal of the Somali
Advocacy Justice Center said that 20 Somalis are being detained
by the INS at a state prison in Rush City and that six are being
held at the Sherburne County jail in Elk River. They have been
held for two weeks to five years, he said. -- INS spokesman Tim
Counts said about 85 percent of those detained had violated local
criminal laws, losing their right to remain in the United States. |

say man could have terrorist links
Federal prosecutors told a judge Monday
that a well-known Orlando businessman arrested last week on charges
of hiring illegal immigrants, many of them from the Middle East,
may have ties to terrorists. -- Jesse I. Maali, a Palestinian
immigrant who owns several International Drive souvenir shops,
gift shops and restaurants, was indicted with four others last
week on charges that many of his employees are illegal immigrants. |

Sweep
nets 100+ arrests at NY airports
Federal officials charged at least 118
people Tuesday with using fake Social Security and immigration
status cards to obtain jobs that gave them access to high-security
areas at John F. Kennedy International and LaGuardia airports.
-- There was no indication of any connection to terrorists, said
FBI spokesman Jim Margolin. -- Scores of men and women were arrested
Tuesday morning on charges that include document fraud, possession

County leaders oppose border militia: Paper seeks a call to arms
The Douglas City Council will be asked
today to adopt a resolution to oppose a
militia group that has organized with a stated purpose of
stemming the flow of illegal immigrants and activity over the
U.S.-Mexico border. -- Ray Borane, mayor of Douglas, said Simcox's
call to arms under the guise of protecting the border has led
him to prepare a resolution opposing the move and any other vigilante
type action by anyone in the county. -- The American
Border Patrol also seeks to stop the flow of illegal immigrants
and drugs. -- Glenn Spencer, the head of the American Border
Patrol, said his organization and Simcox's are different. [Reconquista and Mexican
government agent Isabel Garcia also chimes in.] |

House Daily Briefing (Comments on Arizona Militia)
Q: All right. The Arizona Daily Star
reports that Cochise County's newspaper has issued a call to
arms and is spearheading the formation of a local militia to
combat illegal immigration. And my question is, does the President
plan to do anything more than is being done by federal authorities,
which is not stopping so many thousands of illegals from getting
across the border? |

INS
jail plan sparks rebellion
Oregon, IL -- In a cornfield next to
a children's camp, a mile from the red brick courthouse on the
town square, the U.S. INS wants to help build what many small
towns dream about: a massive jail that would bring hundreds of
high-paying, recession-proof jobs. -- Officials said the 636-bed
jail could also bring in millions of dollars for Ogle County.
-- But as other communities around Illinois vie for the INS'
attention, Oregon residents are fighting off its advances... |

of Mass Insurrection
.....In April 1996, about 500 representatives
of black and Mexican gangs met in the Watts section of Los Angeles
for the fourth annual LA Gang Truce Rally - a celebration of
Mexican and black gang unity. Gang colors and "Black Power"
symbols were displayed alongside symbols of the "Aztlan
Nation" (the mythical Chicano homeland in our Southwest).
The featured speaker at that event was Tony Muhammad, the West
Coast representative of the Nation of Islam. |

Naming
the enemy
Middle East expert Daniel Pipes says
the U.S. should not pull punches in the war against terrorism.
Unfortunately, "When the subject is Iraq, the U.S. government
is proactive, articulate, and specific. But when it comes to
militant Islam, officialdom is reactive, awkward, and vague."
In fact, "Immigration officials focus on superficial characteristics
(nationality, criminal record) and ignore what is truly relevant
(ideology)." The solution: "A war cannot be won without
identifying the enemy. If the U.S. government intends to prevail
in the current conflict, it must start talking about the war
against militant Islam." |

Reporting on MECHA at U.C. Berkeley. Disturbing
Juan Carl Leal Solis, writing in the
Cal Patriot, gives us another disturbing look at the MECHA
group at U.C. Berkeley. This revolutionary group gets funding
from compulsary student fees, and seems to fly in the face of
the university authorities. Or, even more disturbing, MECHA peddles
hatred and prejudice with university approval. |

'Dream
Act' rewards long-term lawbreakers
When most people think about the "American
Dream," family, hard work, God, love of country come to
mind. But if "immigrant rights" groups and their supporters
in Washington have their way, the dream will also include law-breaking.
-- With Republicans poised to take control of both house of Congress
in January, a legislative quandary awaits them -- a bill called
the "Dream Act," the Development, Relief, and Education
for Alien Minors Act. |

Veteran
Border Patrol agent guilty of smuggling illegals
A San Diego federal jury convicted a
veteran U.S. Border Patrol agent yesterday of smuggling two undocumented
immigrants across the border at the San Ysidro port of entry.
-- After about three hours of deliberations, jurors convicted
Steven Joseph Flores of three felony counts. -- Flores, a senior-level
agent stationed in San Clemente, was arrested in June as he drove
across the border with his wife, Nichole, who will later go on
trial separately for the same incident. |

The
War Between the BP & the INS
...Well, the war between the Border Patrol
and the INS is heating up. That is the subject of this evening's
Talking Points Memo. -- As you may know, the Seattle INS office
released accused sniper John
Lee Malvo over the objections of the Border Patrol, which
had taken him and his mother into custody. The two had been smuggled
into the USA illegally from the Caribbean. -- A INS officer named
Blake Brown changed Malvo's status, and he was released unsupervised. |

Mexican
propaganda on the air
The joys and sorrows of Mexican immigrants
in the United States, their rights and responsibilities, dreams
and hopes, have been captured in a serialized drama for Spanish-speaking
radio audiences. -- Sponsored by the Foreign Secretariat, "Tortillas

of crossing the border and the harsh realities of living in the
United States, while pointing out that along with rights come
responsibilities to obey

Clam Blasts Chron over Hernandez Article
...The San Francisco Chronicle has a
softball
article on campus criminal Roberto Hernandez. It's full of
fun background information on another perennial piece of campus
scum. -- Particularly interesting is this quote of Roberto's:
''The military checkpoints are much worse in Palestine, but for
me there is a natural link there.'' I've noted before that radical
Chicano activists think of themselves as ''America's Palestinians.''
This is also evident in the fact that MECHA
and Raza organizations often work closely with groups like SJP. |

Banks
aiding and abetting, loaning money to criminals
..."It does take a lot of trust
for an individual to tell you he is here undocumented,"
city employee Rafael Villalon said. -- Illegal immigrants can
borrow money from Lake City as long as they have a tax identification
number from the U.S. government and meet usual loan qualifications,
Kevin Deardorff said. -- They can also open checking and savings
accounts and perform other routine banking business. |
