O'Reilly
Factor - Nov. 11, 2004
O'Reilly (speaking to J.D. Hayworth): Here's what Bush wants
to do. He wants to give illegal immigrants already in the country
a card that would allow them to [1] travel back and forth
to Mexico and other Central American countries, [2] primarily,
for [3] three years, alright? Then he was going to
[4] match these people that get the card with willing employers.
And all of this is OK. Uhh, the temporary worker could
[5] bring his family could bring his family over,
which, again, this is going to cause a lot of problems,
for your state and Texas, and New Mexico and California. Some
people are going to come over here and do OK and some people
are going to be on the welfare rolls. That's just
the way it is. But I do agree with you that the
plan doesn't work unless you [6] stop the people from coming
every single day. (Listen) |

[1] Minimum wage workers can't afford to "commute"
from Mexico.
[2] You can't limit the program to Mexico and Central America.
[3] Plus one extension = 6 years.
[4] A federal employment agency for non-citizens? Bad idea -
won't happen.
[5] Bringing families means importing
permanent poverty.
[6] That's right - for a guest worker program to work we must
close the border AND enforce existing employment laws. But, if
we did, the illegals would self-deport.
A guest worker program will mean amnesty
and citizenship. With chain migration and family reunification,
half of Mexico will be allowed to immigrate into the United
States and we will lose the Southwest (Aztlan) to la
Reconquista. That is why legalization is treason. |
