Why Mexicans decapitate people

Recently we have seen horrific reports of Mexican gangsters torturing and beheading their victims. We really shouldn't be surprised as this behavior is part of Mexico's culture. One reason the Aztecs lost to Cortez (but not they only one) is that they preferred to take prisoners alive so they could later be sacrificed to the Gods - by cutting their hearts out while still alive. Cortez and his Indian allies had no such hesitations and went ahead and killed the Aztec enemy. If the Mexicans do conquer "Aztlan" we can no doubt look to a future of such treatment of the Gringo enemy.
