Re: Kyl makes Sierra Vista appearance

What a zero.  Didn't take him long to match John McJerk. (That would be John McCain for those not recognizing the name)

To the Editor of the Sierra Vista Herald:

What a weasely way for Senator Jon "Weather vane" Kyl to admit that he supports amnesty for illegal aliens.  He says that deporting them is "unrealistic." Sounds a lot like Assa Hutchinson.

When he replies to my letters, he insists that he opposes illegal immigration and amnesty, but the verbiage is a maze of contradictions.  Seems he's just as contradictory in person.

Last year's "federal reimbursement" is a good example.  Rather than change the "federal law" requiring hospitals to treat provide all kinds of medical care to illegal aliens, he gave $1 billion in "hush money" to keep hospitals on the "pro-illegal immigration team." Kyl thinks citizens don't know that "federal reimbursement" means tax money from our pockets.  And $1 billion in veterans medical services was eliminated.  Remember Jon Kyl on Veterans' Day.

He clearly expects Arizonans to forget his immigration hypocrisy by November 2006 when he faces re-election.  And his endorsement of Jim Kolbe. And his joining the "No on 200" coalition of labor unions, businesses and other elected officials who perpetuate and protect illegal immigration, then hinder citizens who want the law enforced.

I hope ProjectUSA targets Jon Kyl in 2006 with their billboards:  "Senator Jon Kyl supports amnesty for illegal aliens.  Do you?"

Maybe Kyl will try for an appointment to the Dept of Homeland Security.  He could step into Assa Hutchinson's job and no one would know the difference..

In the meantime, Arizonans are stuck with 2 US Senators who don't represent our interests.
