Proposition 187 was passed by 59% of California voters - That's five million people. Two sections of Proposition 187 have become law - California Penal Codes 113 and 114. These deal with the manufacture, distribution, sale and use of phony IDs.

Piece of cake, right? We should have hundreds of arrests and prosecutions for this sort of thing, right? After all, even Sixty Minutes showed people out in the open selling false IDs, right?

Wrong. We have hardly any arrests and prosecutions.

One reason for this is that Los Angeles District Attorney Gil Garcetti took one look at these new laws and immediately found a loop-hole for his buddies from Mexico to drive through. He said that because Proposition 187 attacked the use of "false documents" that meant that to violate the law, the infraction had to involve more than one false document!

LAPD Chief Willie Williams immediately saw this as a signal to "wink" at Proposition 187 and he had one of his lackeys issue Police Order 5 which put the coup de gras in 187 laws.

The liberal cabal which has a strangle-hold on Los Angeles continues its relentless anarchy!
