American Border Patrol
Accosted at Naco Rally
Attempt to document cross-border function met with hostility
UPDATE: 4/7/03 -- The man who called Glenn Spencer an asshole (see below) is Jim Cooper. He lives in St. David, Arizona. Some say he is a communist. [Cooper is apparently involved with groups that aid and abet invaders]. News reports have since indicated that Cooper is also the head of the Democratic Party in Cochise County, Arizona.
Naco, Arizona - (4/5/03 -- ABP) - An attempt to record a group of open border advocates' rally on the border west of Naco was met with hostility on Saturday afternoon. High winds hampered ABP's efforts to send live video from the scene of the demonstration.

Mexicans selling beer across border while BP looks on. Any problems there with AZ alcoholic beverage control? Site is about one mile west of Naco port of entry.

American Border Patrol accosted as they tried to video the event. "I was far back from the festivities and a bunch of rough looking guys came toward me and started yelling," Glenn Spencer reported.

Who is this guy? He accused Glenn Spencer of skimming money off American Border Patrol. (What a joke!) If you know who this guy is, e-mail us with the info please. [This guy was later ID'd as Jim Cooper].

One of the groups sponsoring the cross-border event. Also in attendance was the Border Action Network. [Check links for 'Citizens for Border Solutions']
