REPORT FROM THE FRONT LINES IN ATLANTA: THE "IMMIGRANTS RIGHTS" MARCH
Jimmy Herchek -- September 30, 2003
THE DORAVILLE POLICE CHIEF threatened us several times with arrest if we stepped off of the sidewalk into the street where the nearly 100 illegal aliens, lawbreakers who should have been arrested just by their presence, were marching to make demands for legal rights from our government. It was the first of several unreal, only in a mixed-up politically correct world, moments to follow for the twenty-four of us proud Americans who showed to protest their "rights" protest.
The approximately 100 illegal aliens were joined by about another 100 union organizer "hacks" carrying their signs of solidarity, and about another 100 people from the usual Blame America First protest groups we've all grown too accustomed to lately.
The largest banner, draped by red flags emblazoned with the hammer and sickle, was carried by the Red Brigade of the Communist Party who had to cry out at us with obligatory "pigs and racists" catcalls. They were joined by one-world socialists demanding universal health care, gay and lesbian protesters carrying the cause for their aberrant sexual agenda, and the Mexican Defense lawyers, overly endowed by the Ford Foundation with generous salaries to organize this and other pro-illegal events.
Absent, of course, were immigration authorities who refuse to enforce our immigration laws and political types (it's just not right to call them leaders) who supposedly represent us, American citizens and taxpayers, who must suffer with the problems caused by and pay the taxes that financially support these invaders.
But I was very proud of our small band that bore many indignities while trying to graciously defend the rule of law here in Georgia. Thanks to all of you for coming out. Thanks, too, to all who made phone calls to the Governor's office and immigration authorities. Eventually, they will have to listen to us. The invasion is far from over and mainstream America will not take much more of it.
The maddening thought that keeps bothering me is that none of us should have been there. We have good immigration laws that protect all the citizens and legal residents of the United States from criminals and terrorism, economic displacement, and the spread of infectious disease. These are not racist laws; they protect everybody and provide for orderly legal entry into the United States. But corrupt special interests have bought off most of our politicians so that our immigration laws are just laughed at by those who invade us to take what we have. And as we kept hearing over and over again by the illegals, "We are here to stay."
Don't believe it. This country is full of great Americans just like those who showed yesterday. They are slowly waking up. It may take a little while longer, but beware when the lion finally wakes and roars.
GEORGIA NOW ACTING AS LATINO JOB & SERVICE AGENCY
THE GEORGIA DEPT. OF LABOR is sponsoring a Latino job fair, primarily in Spanish, on how to obtain local jobs and government services Thursday at the Georgia Mountains Center in Gainesville from 3 until 7 pm.
Many Georgia citizens and legal residents need job assistance. Georgia taxpayer funds should not be expended for an exclusively Latino event that caters to a large number of illegal aliens who are not legally allowed to work or live in Georgia.
Why in the world does the Governor allow state money to help illegal aliens obtain employment and taxpayer-funded services in Georgia? This is just another outrage that taxpayers and citizens will not live with much longer. The state of Georgia cannot afford an overwhelmingly poor population that will soon exceed half a million illegal aliens.
Disclaimer for the politically correct: Not all Latinos are illegal aliens but an estimated 70% are who reside in Georgia.
Call the Governor at (404) 656-1776. Find out who your State Representatives and Senators are and how to contact them by calling (404) 656-0028 or (404) 656-5082. Or go to www.legis.state.ga.us/cgi-bin/gl_peo_list.pl?List=sthouse or www.legis.state.ga.us/cgi-bin/gl_peo_list.pl?List=stsenate .
Leave messages at their offices, call them at night, do whatever it takes to let them know loud and clear IT IS WRONG TO MAKE TAXPAYERS PAY FOR ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS - THEY ARE HERE ILLEGALLY. This should be common sense. But common sense, like courage, seems to have all but disappeared in most politicians.
