Hi ,

I have been receiving posts from American Patrol for the past year. I live in Montana and am unable to participate in the meetings that are held in California but I am very much interested in illegal immigration and the impact it is having on this country. I am a nurse and have worked in the field of obstetrics for many years in California. I saw first hand how our health services are abused by illegal immigrants. Pregnant women come to this country hoping to deliver their babies here and have an American citizen child. I have seen this witnessed this over and over again since 1987. I called the department of immigration back in the 1980's and they ignored what I had to say. Since prop 187 was approved by the people of California and struck down by a court I have become very discouraged. Every year the number of illegals is increasing and our politicians in both parties cater to this issue looking for votes and not wanting to anger the Hispanic community. The whole situation is ridiculous. At this time I cannot afford health care for my own family, but when I do a travel assignment its very possible I will be providing health care for free to illegal immigrants courtesy of the federal government paid for by my taxes. Do you believe we are losing this battle? Even after Sept. 11 Bush still wants to provide amnesty to 8 million illegals.

Sincerely,

Stephany
