Re: Kick them out...column by Leonard Pitts, Jr.--The Miami Herald

Leonard Pitts Jr. writes in his column "'Kick them out, and the American ideal is doomed" that "Being America means something." Pitts then fails to tell exactly what it means, but one can infer from reading the column in toto that he means, since he does state this, that we are a "nation of immigrants."

I'm going to puke, I swear it, if I hear that stupid cliche one more time! EVERY nation is a nation of immigrants. Humans have wandered over the face of the Earth since there were humans. The question that should be asked, is when, exactly, does a nation stop being a nation of immigrants? When do the people who have settled on a piece of dirt and built a nation in their image, and according to their lights, simply say, "We like what we've built and we have a large enough population to grow from our internal births, we don't want other people to come here and screw it up"? Isn't that the right of Americans today? Don't we have a natural right to our self-determination?

And what about the other current cliché that "diversity is our strength"? Why is diversity our strength? It isn't. Diversity is often our weakness. Doubt it? Look at the current quagmire aborning in Afghanistan, and look at the protesters in the U.S. They are the diversity, and they are the weakness. In Los Angeles this past weekend, there was a peace demonstration. Most of the people at the demonstration weren't European-Americans. The demonstrators were then treated to an Aztec dance. We have seen similar dances at protests in Los Angeles in support of the invasion of the U.S. by those who claim that California and parts of other western states really belong to Mexico.

The United States of America was born as a new Europe. It is now being turned into a Third World nation as Europeans now no longer want to come here and the doors have been thrown wide open for non-Europeans. The culture, the mores and the people who made this nation great still exist in relatively isolated areas of this nation, and a look at the statistics shows the difference between their ways and the Third World ways.

Here's a quick comparison. Look at the murder statistics between 98% white New Hampshire and 98% non-white Washington, D.C. Both places have approximately the same number of people living there. The difference is that the people aren't the same. New Hampshire has somewhere around 10-15 murders per year, while D.C. has 500-600. Oh, I know, it can't have anything to do with people being different. Why, it must be that New Hampshire has more snow, or it's drugs or it's this or it's that. The numbnuts always want to find a non-human reason for human problems lest they be seen to be (are you ready?) as racist, insensitive, etc. To these numbnuts, the world is a Disneyesque sort of place where inanimate objects have personalities and do things. Murder? Why it was bad Mr. Gun or bad Mr. Drugs. Good grief!
