Border symposium at U of Arizona this weekend

A symposium will be offered on the University of Arizona campus Friday and Saturday to build and strengthen activist alliances. The symposium, "Resistance on the Border: Globalization Militarization Immigration," will host a variety of panels, performances, films and workshops discussing issues on both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border and on the border itself. Topics include "Challenging Institutional Racism on the Border" and "Building Worker Solidarity Across Borders."

The event is open to the public at no charge. Free parking is available.

Events will take place at the Center for Creative Photography, 1030 N. Olive Drive, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. 520 621-7968 this Friday Dec 6th and at the Integrated Learning Center, 1500 E. University Blvd., off and on from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday Dec 7th.
