Hi Gang:
I was on the radio with Vicki McKenna this afternoon
discussing a number of immigration-related issues as we usually do each
Thursday. Today, Vicki came up with a story that she saw on CBS and that
was also covered by ABC News. I have attached a copy of the ABC News
story below and I have also provided you with a recording of the segment of
Vicki's show today (show aired 2/27/08) in which I appeared [click here to listen].
This story and a couple others were the topic of our discussion. The
segment is relatively short, it ran only about 15 minutes, so if you missed
hearing it when it aired "live" you can hear it now.
The ABC News report I have attached to this commentary is a short
one but a very upsetting one; it is believed that there
are thousands of aliens in our country who are illegally
present in our country, and who have apparently committed immigration fraud and
visa fraud and are nevertheless receiving flight training in the

Judiciary Committee, Subcommittee on Immigration, Border Security and Claims on

While this material and the article I have attached below may
infuriate you (and it most certainly should!) you also need to realize that
today a hearing was conducted by the Senate Judiciary Committee on the threat
posed by the Visa Waiver Program because, as I noted in an earlier brief
commentary I wrote, the administration is considering a plan to increase the
number of countries that participate in the Visa Waiver Program from the
current 27 to 39 and would include countries in Eastern Europe. My
position on the issue of the Visa Waiver Program is quite simple and
succinct: It must be terminated altogether because of the threat it poses
to national security!
What is beyond belief is that while the President of the

this nation to read them and understand how important the effective enforcement
and administration of the immigration laws are to the safety of our citizens
and the survival of our nation!
We the People must make our voices heard by each and every member of Congress
and by each and every Senator!
Not one single candidate for the Presidency has addressed any of
these issues except to make it clear that they will not address these
absolutely critical issues either! We must vote out of office any member
of Congress or the United States Senate who is unwilling to do the
"People's Work!"
Once again I have to ask, what will it take to get our government
to finally secure our nation, secure our borders and create an immigration
system that possesses real integrity?
We owe it to ourselves, we owe it to our fellow Americans and we
most certainly owe it to our children and their children to get our voices
heard by those who claim to represent us!
Democracy is not a spectator sport!
