"The potential of this region is just incredible," [Ortiz Rocha] said. Most American citizens who reside in North Carolina do not share his enthusiasm. Mexico has nothing positive to offer North Carolina, excepting cheap, illegal labor which benefits few. We have already exported our manufacturing jobs, imported poverty, strained our municipal services and schools, and been forced to live with a level of lawlessness that is shocking to anyone old enough to remember a sovereign United States.
