Dear President Bush,
The head of the INS (Ziglar) is now saying we should allow illegal immigration because companies benefit from it. He is encouraging every Mexican now south of the border to head north. He has demoralized every Border Patrol officer.
Ziglar does not represent the interests of the American people. He is representing the special interests. How can he propose this after September 11? This is even worse than what Enron has done to the American people.
PLEASE FIRE INS COMMISSIONER ZIGLAR!
Thank you,
K. N. -- Riverdale, NJ
2/5/02 [22]To Commissioner Ziglar:
You know absolutely nothing about immigration, immigration law or the impact of immigration on our country.
As a California native, I can tell you that unchecked immigration has made the state unrecognizable from what it was when I was growing up.
I urge you to step down from your position since you are not working on behalf of the American people.
Joe G. -- Lodi, CA
2/5/02 [21]John Ashcroft -- Attorney General
U.S. Department of Justice
950 Pennsylvania Ave.
Washington, DC 20530-0001Dear Attorney General Ashcroft:
When ship's personnel start setting-up breakfast tables on the Titanic at midnight, it's time to take notice.
I respectfully ask that you take INS Director Ziglar to the woodshed for a disciplinary get-together. He evidently lacks the personal commitment necessary to enforce our all of our immigration statutes. After rapping Director Ziglar's knuckles, he deserves no further latitude concerning the enforcement of our immigration laws, - - and should be restricted to a very short leash.
During his December 5 remarks before the U.S. Chamber of Commerce the INS Director symbolically wiped his feet on some of our immigration statutes. Mr. Ziglar remarked that he wants to begin "regularizing" the 6.5 million illegal aliens in this country. He went on to say that there is no way that the INS can do anything about all those lawbreakers. Presumably because it's too a daunting task. (I wasn't aware that ranking government officials were hired just for the easy tasks) The INS Director concluded his malfeasance by commenting, to paraphrase, "that even if the INS could do something about 6.5 million illegal aliens, he wouldn't want to because "we'd all go bankrupt" without those illegal aliens in our country.
In the woodshed Director Ziglar must be asked if intends to enforce all of our laws, without reservation, or just the ones he agrees with. If he equivocates, he should be shown the door and handed his severance package. Mr. Ziglar wasn't hired to apply his personal spin on illegal immigration, and if he isn't committed to the job, then for the Country's sake Mr. Attorney General, get rid of him. So unbelievable is this official's commitment to the INS' mission statement that I can't even imagine the deleterious effect of Mr. Ziglar's remarks upon his agency's morale.
Please do it now Mr. Attorney General. Take Mr. Ziglar to the woodshed.
Sincerely,
Michael S.
CC: Rep. James Sensenbrenner
2/5/02 [20]Hello Glenn ,
Just to let you know that i sent an e-mail to President Bush yesterday about this Mr Ziglar . I live in Fredericksburg , Va about 55 miles south of Washington D.C we have 3 parks here one of them in the summer time is all Mexicans they just take the place over you would not beleive the trash they leave behind . keep up the good work. -- Yours Truly, Samuel D.
2/4/02 [19]Dear President Bush:
INS Commissioner Ziglar's proposal to let all of the ILLEGAL ALIENS remain in our country is TOTALLY unacceptable. The key watchword here Mr President is 'ILLEGAL". Apparently Commissioner Ziglar doesn't understand the definition of the word "ILLEGAL". My recommendation, Mr. President, is FIRE Commissioner Ziglar IMMEDIATELY!! Thank you for your consideration.
2/4/02 [18]Glenn:
I'm going to be in Washington, DC next week and, on Tuesday the 12th, I'm going to visit Ziglar's office, to deposit messages from me and a number of friends who are just as outraged as you about Ziglar's comments. Could you please send me as many letters as possible, from as many different states as possible, that you would like me to leave on Ziglar's desk? You choose what you want me to actually get in his office and I guarantee I will do all in my power to see that he reads them. I will need to receive everything prior to Feb. 10th.
Richard H.
Note: Send the e-mail requested here and we will make sure Richard gets them.

TO: PRESIDENT GEORGE BUSHRE: FIRE THE INS COMMISSIONER, ZIGLAR
He is no better than Doris Meissner which means the Bush Administration has no intention of protecting our Borders, Language, or Culture. What is Ziglar thinking bringing in 70,000 more refugees and children. When will it end: 1 billion, so we can resemble all the other 3rd world barrios around the world? The AMERICAN PEOPLE WILL NOT LET THAT HAPPEN.
He was appointed by President Bush knowing fully well our Borders would be violated. This violates what is left of our Constitution. This is massive, uncontrolled immigration.
There are many Reps. and Senators who also want him fired for standing in the way of proper law enforcement of our borders. Our Border Patrol officers have been demoralized by Ziglar and are leaving the INS.
Four million Bush voters remained home in the last election. We are predicting 10 million registered voters will stay home in 2004 if the Administration continues to ignore American Citizens.
He won't get our vote again with someone like Ziglar in charge of INS as a customer service agency rather than enforcing our laws. Why not put him in charge of the Postal Service who is in dire need of Customer Service?
BORDERS LANGUAGE CULTURE
GOD BLESS AMERICA not One World Order for the Enron's, Global Crossing et al out there.
We are a laughing stock to the worlds' terrorists, including all of those already inside the gates thanks to Meissner, Ziglar keeping our borders porous they all have blood on their hands from September 11 refusing to take this seriously DEFYING OUR LAWS.
Where's the HEAT ON THE CEOs to prosecute and set an example with years of prison for selling out our country in the name of commerce? The Americans will take their vitriol to the polls this year. We are tired of the "LIP SERVICE."
Sincerely,
Deborah P., Newport Beach, CA

2/4/02 [16]Mr. President:
I cannot believe that we, the people, have to write you to demand that you immediately fire INS Commissioner Ziglar. This is something that you should have done on your own. He said we "should allow illegal immigration because companies benefit from it." Since when did this country start formulating immigration policies based on cheap labor for companies????
He also said, "he would like to see this country accept even more refugees and other immigrants. Who is he working for??? Certainly not in the best interests of this country and its people. If you don't do something about this explosive situation, you will not be a second term president. Homeland security is the most important job of the president and our elected officials and we are being short-changed. We expect all of you in Washington to act as statesmen---not politicians!!!!
All illegals must be sent back to their country of origin. Do you know how many reside here that are terrorists preparing for their next attack on our country? When are you going to get serious about homeland security?? You certainly aren't believable when your appointees make such insane statements and you ignore them.
Bring our troops home from foreign lands and put them on our borders to protect us. We need a moratorium on immigration, NOW! Ziglar MUST NOT be the one to decide these very serious priorities.
FIRE ZIGLAR, NOW!
Ann T.

2/4/02 [15]I called the INS commissioner's office(1-202-514-1900) to express my outrage and personally call for his resignation. My community suffers the entire spectrum of adversity associated with the illegal alien invasion. They hung up BECAUSE THEY COULDN'T TAKE MY PASSIONATE BUT LEGAL VERBALIZING. It's amazing; they inflict massive suffering on communities and they can't even take a passionate comment on the subject.
2/4/02 [14]Dear Mr. President:
I am appalled at the immigration viewpoints expressed by INS Commissioner Ziglar and urge you to fire him immediately. His policy views encourage illegal immigration into our country and thereby help undermine our national defense against terrorism. Moreover, in this period of economic recession, we need to discourage further immigration into our country. Get rid of Ziglar and get with an immigration moratorium.
Sincerely yours,
Thomas L.

2/4/02 [13]Mr. One Term President:
I don't know if it has dawn on you or the incompetent, bungling, nit-wits at the INS that 9-11 did not have to happen. Meissner and Ziglar failed my country. In fact, both of these small minded bureaucrats should be housed in Leavenworth for the rest of the natural lives as accessories to the murder of thousands of Americans! The INS could have deported the legal and illegal Muslims; it did not nor does not require a briefing from the FBI or CIA to tell Meissner & Ziglar that the Muslims demonstrated, repeatedly, the desire to kill Americans. More to the point, given the dire warnings about impending attacks; WHY are these bas##r#s still in my country? Now, I am not a mean person, but I refuse to let my family and friends be sacrificed on the alter of Political Correctness, money and sensitivity! How many illegals and terror types has the INS deported since 9-11? Good question to ask, huh. Someone who gives a minor damn about American should be asking.
Think of the poor soccer-mom when she must tell little Billy that he may have to die because we want to be sensitive to people who what to murder us. >From little Billy: "Gee thanks, Mom".
Your domestic policies, especially the INS, are exactly that of Bill Clinton. Do you recall why Spencer Abraham was defeated in his senate race?
Guess what your future is when the American people understand they do not have to die at the hands of foreign murders. And guess what the reaction will be when I becomes clear you and Clinton are two peas in the same INS pod!
The election is coming.
Regards, Ken
2/4/02 [12]Dear President Bush:
The Immigration and Naturalization Service appears to be being overseen by a refugee of the Carnegie Foundation or Ford Foundation.
Illegal immigration and mass immigration in general is and has been causing serious problems within this country for years, and now we have an incompetent and inexperienced clown coddling illegals, the anti-American likes of the National Immigration Forum, and lauding Ted Kennedy, one individual who is more responsible for out current balkanization and loss of national security than any other man in government? Give me a break!
I voted for you, not for Vicente Fox or Kofi Annan. I urge you to get rid of Ziglar and put someone in charge of this vital agency who has some experience and knows how to protect Americans and America's borders. Thank You.
Respectfully,
JN
2/4/02 [11]Message To Pres. Bush:
As a native Texan, you should be able to recognize B.S. Baloney when it is served up as legitimate fare. You are respected in many ways, but many simply do not understand comments and policies coming from you and your administration condoning the Out Of Control Mass Illegal INVASION! This is NOT immigration as it is often called. Continued.....
2/4/02 [10]Made my call to the White House a little while ago. As a replacement, I
suggested Tom Tancredo.

Former Chief Border Patrol agent speaks outMr. President:
As a former Chief Patrol Agent with the U. S. Border Patrol I say that if the statements attributed to the INS Commissioner in the following article are true, he should immediately be removed from his position. He is quoted as saying, "If we can find a way to move illegal immigrants into legal channels, we would enable the border patrol to focus on the bad guys coming across the border rather than the people coming across to work." This is probably the most ridiculous statement ever made by an INS Commissioner.
Mr. President, when will you, the Secretary of State, the Attorney General, the Director of Homeland Security, the entire State Department, the Congress, and Commissioner Ziglar come to the realization that when an alien crosses our international borders without inspection while "just coming to work here" that they, too, are committing a crime. I refer you Title 8, USC, 1325; if you will take the time to read it, I'm sure that you will agree with me that everyone, "bad guys" and "good guys" alike are committing a crime when they cross our borders without inspection. All are amenable to criminal prosecution. Our laws were designed to be uniformly enforced - or are we now into selective/politically correct enforcement, regardless of what the laws on the books state.
In addition, Commissioner Ziglar's statement "that raising the numbers of immigrants who could come here legally would end the human smuggling network that consumes attention along the U. S. - Mexico border," has absolutely no merit. By making such a statement he adds additional proof that he and his advisors should be removed from office. What he is attempting to do is eliminate the need for an immigration enforcement policy for all but terrorists.
William S. King, Jr.
2/4/02 [08]I called Bush and politely but forcefully told them to fire Ziglar, he was out of control in his support of illegal alien lawbreakers, that we are a rule of laws, our immigration laws are good laws that we want enforced and we are tired of having illegal immigration shoved down our throats. I sincerely hope that the anti-immigration rallies catch on and like the proverbial snowball rolling down the hill, get bigger and bigger. We have one tremendous intangible on our side: we are in the right.
Thanks,
Greg
2/4/02 [07]Dear Glenn:
I called [the White House] just now - the person (female) on the phone was very polite, but curt - I was very calm and polite as well - what was funny is that, when I got to "please urge President Bush to fire INS Commissioner James Ziglar, as he recently indicated that the United States government should encourage illegal immigration as some companies benefit from it" ...I got about 4 seconds of silence, then a curt "What state are you from" and then "Thank You".
2/4/02 [06]Dear Glenn:
I e-mailed the pres as you suggested. Thanks for your over-whelming dedication.
2/4/02 [05]Dear Glenn,
Thank you for your email alerts! It is a shame we as American Citizens have to awaken to such terrible news. This Government was and is supposed to be for "The People"? We thought this meant the American people? We now can have no piece of mind! Our government is out to attack the citizens and the sovereignty of the United States and to let us citizens know that we as citizens mean nothing to this administration. We are OUTRAGED that Commissioner Ziglar has declared war on us American citizens, by calling for the legalization of illegal aliens! We must fight back! Or we are doomed as a great Nation.

2/4/02 [04]Letter to the editor, L.A. Times (not published)
An article, "Path to Refugee Status Easing," [James Gill, 2/2/02] INS Commissioner Ziglar stated, "If we can find a way to move illegal immigrants into legal channels, we would enable the border patrol to focus on the bad guys coming across the border rather than the people coming across to work."
Mr. Ziglar certainly must know that any move to facilitate bring people across the border without proper inspection is against the law, according to Title 8, USC 1325. If his remarks constitute such action, he should be removed from his position as INS Commissioner.
The administration claims that they do not propose an amnesty in seeking "regularization" for approximately 4 million Mexican nationals living illegally in the U.S. All the mincing of words does not alter the fact that granting legal status to people who broke the law entering the country illegally, would only encourage more people to come here illegally.

Mr. President:Our country is at war. We need to control our borders. We need to deport all illegal aliens and persons on visas that have expired.
An article appeared in "The Nation", titled "Path to Refugee Status Easing" by James Gill, that reports that the INS wants to develop a system that encourages more immigration.
I believe this policy is not in the best interests of our Nation at this time. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and see the congregations of "day workers" who are mostly illegal aliens. The work to support them is not here anymore. I share the concerns of our local law enforcement agencies that many illegals will turn to crime if they cannot get work.
The United States of America as a developing and maturing Nation controlled immigration similar to a farmer controlling water to irrigate his crops. When the Country needed more people - we took in more immigrants. When times were such that we could not support more people - we reduced the number of immigrants.
Current laws are a drain on the America taxpayer. We cannot be the billpayer for Mexico's problems.
Very truly yours,

Dear Mr. President,
I've written before. I write again. What has happened to you in your life that compels you to keep beating your head against the will of the American people? I voted for you enthusiastically to return dignity to our highest state house, not to turn our foreign policy over to Mexico City, Peeking, Moscow, and Mecca.Your sociological blindness to what foreign nationals and their leaders are attempting to do to conquer my homeland by overwhelming us with their illegal unarmed armies' constant and incessant invasion against us baffles me. Did you miss the part on American Sovereignty in high school civics. Did you lose out on that part of your oath given by the Chief Justice when you accepted the responsibility to defend this nation against all enemies, foreign and domestic? Why do those who supported you have to continually remind you so that those who don't support you can't destroy your work, altogether. You simply must come around to taking the side of the American people and stop worrying yourself over the welfare of Vicente Fox's citizens.
The recent remarks of your clown, six-month, sycophant, ex-Sergeant at Arms, Commissioner of INS, Mr. Ziglar, and Homeland Security Director, Thomas J. Ridge, should qualify both for instant dismissal. Their recent seditious pronouncements to ignore the lawless aliens already among us and the greedy business slime who plot to hire them, in violation of American law, is a scandal that transcends any of the silly infidelity of your nation-wrecking predecessor.
We made it clear that we wanted nothing to do with 245(i). You're back again to telling us we aren't as enlightened as you, who are compelled to shove that right down the throats of us, who put you where you are. We, the citizens of California, by a wide margin, told Sacramento we were not willing to pay for the welfare of Mexico City's social welfare cases. A smug, lawless, arrogant governor has nearly broken our state's economy and told its voters that his arrogance is more important than the will of the people who have defended this country for, now, hundreds of years.
You dishonor yourself, Sir, when you surround yourself with these sycophants who would give away my homeland. Come back to America, Sir. You haven't done too badly as an American. Let Vicente work his own side of the street. You don't owe him one volatile peso. He's not your friend, Mr. President. He's just smart enough to play you like a Christmas piñata.
Get rid of Ziglar and Ridge. They're not working for the benefit of the United States of America. Keep a close eye on Colin Powell, too.

George Bush
President of the United States
1600 Pennsylvania Ave.
Washington, District of ColumbiaDear Mr. President:
In 1994 the people of California voted overwhelmingly for Proposition 187 to fight illegal immigration by cutting off funding for illegal aliens. Proposition 187 was killed by an illegal act by Democrat governor Davis, in conjunction with Mexican president Zedillo. It was an act of treason.
Last Friday, Americans were the victims of another act of treason when Commissioner of the Immigration and Naturalization Service said, "If we can find a way to move illegal immigrants into legal channels, we would enable the border patrol to focus on the bad guys coming across the border rather than the people coming across to work."
The United States is being invaded by Mexico, with hostile intent. Its goal is to reverse the results of the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo. It is achieving this goal by demographic warfare. Mexico will never reform policies that stifle growth because to do so would run counter to its goal of conquest by migration.
The American people are paying a high price in their schools, in their hospitals and, yes on their streets, for the failure of their government to protect them against invasion. By a vast majority, they oppose any form of amnesty, including guest-worker gradualism.
Time is running out. If you fail to protect the American people, they will find the means to protect themselves.
You must fire INS Commissioner Ziglar immediately.
Yours truly,
Glenn Spencer
