The Times tells us that we are importing ignorance from Mexico and that this is going to lead to even more serious problems for Los Angeles. The Times has long advocated the rights of Mexicans to migrate to California unencumbered. The dictionary says that shame is "a painful emotion resulting from an awareness of inadequacy or guilt." In telling its readers of the terrible consequences of its open borders policy without a mention of its own role in the process, the Times clearly demonstrates that it has no shame.
