MARIETTA, DAY LABORERS, AND ILLEGAL ALIENS

TWO DAYS FROM NOW
This coming Monday, 10/8/01, at 8:00 AM, the Mayor of Marietta is having some kind of meeting in the main Fire Station on Haynes St. The topic relates to Day Laborers.

50% to 80% of DAY LABORERS ARE ILLEGAL ALIENS
From all reports I have read in the newspapers.

PURPOSE OF MEETING
I don't know, but I'm not hearing it will be about rounding up and handing over for deportation the many ILLEGAL ALIENS in our community. I am very concerned it might be proposed that in some fashion, our Federal Immigration laws should be broken in spirit and/or intent. I am very concerned that some sort of aid or comfort will be proposed for Illegal Aliens, and a case could be made that this would be TREASON.

REMEMBER
The World Trade Center flights and the Tennessee Bus were all commandeered by ILLEGAL ALIENS.

WHAT CAN WE DO?
I will be attending the meeting. I have contacted Congressman Barr's local district and D.C. offices requesting either he be there to observe, or in the alternative, have a staff member observe and read a statement similar to my concerns above (breaking laws / Treason). IE, PUT THESE CITY OFFICIALS ON NOTICE THAT THEY ARE TREADING ON THIN ICE IF MY SUSPICIONS TURN OUT TO BE CORRECT.

I will be handing this information to all the local officials that attend this breakfast. They have more power than me, and it is incumbent on them also to see where this meeting is going. They have the same vested interest in their homeland surviving, as we do. If they sit idly by, then they are complicitous with the City's actions, in my opinion.

Congressman Johnny Isakson answered my question at his town hall meeting about the city of Roswell's Day Laborer Center by saying he supported Roswell's position in light of the federal government's failure to enforce it's own laws. This was before 9/11/01. If he hasn't rescinded his position and doesn't roll up his sleeves, he should resign.
