LETTER TO THE EDITOR (Arkansas Democrat-Gazette):

Editor Paul Greenberg recently defaulted on any claim to enjoy Pulitzer Prize standing. Recent offerings regarding the illegal alien invasion are punctuated with outright untruths, innuendos, distortions, and incendiary remarks. His background would indicate he would champion civility, truth and objectivity.  Not so.

Comparing the illegal invasion with the civil disobedience at Central High in the 50's is bogus. Senator DeLay making illegal immigration the defining issue of the 3rd District's Congressional campaign has exposed an ugly side. Why has Greenberg reacted with such hateful rhetoric directed at A.I.M. and DeLay? Words are limited in this paper for letter writers, let me list a few salient points. (1) His writings about the recent Rogers AIM meeting were for the most part skewed and untruthful. (2) The U.S. military has 2 missions, to prevent insurrection from within and maintain U.S. sovereignty. (3) Thousands of dot.coms have declared bankruptcy while H1-B visas have increased to about 150,000 per year, not counting the families they bring in and the fact that they never leave. (4) The I.N.S. declared 2 years ago that they did not have the capacity to deal with the illegal invasion and would no longer attempt to deport illegals. (5) Gov. Huckabee's cowardly way to address this crisis is to hire the state's director of LULAC, Bob Trevino.  Go to www.lulac.org <http://www.lulac.org/> to view their agenda, i.e. how to demonstrate and access U.S. welfare programs. (6) We welcome 200,000 legal immigrants yearly composed of all categories, chain, asylees, refugees, etc. not the million legal and the hundreds of thousands illegals per year.  Studies show that 200,000 per year would provide the U.S. with a sustainable population of 345 million.

Mr. Greenberg, 78% of all Mexicans residing in the U.S., who were born in Mexico, are not legal. Explain how they will be able to vote? Your statement regarding Korean grocery stores, Vietnamese shoe repairs, food fiestas and the NW Arkansas chicken industry is just plain silly. Please comment on U.S. taxpayers coughing up $14.5 Billion for English as a second language? The destruction of public schools, the increased demands on energy, healthcare, taxes, police (27% of prison population are illegal Hispanics), 75% of illicit drugs enter from Mexico, ad infinitum.

Mr. Greenberg, your shameful personal attacks and ludicrous rhetoric will not diminish our 1st Amendment rights and the rule of law. What is your agenda?
