NEW UNTOUCHABLES NEEDED TO FIGHT ILLEGAL ALIEN RELATED CORRUPTION

Back in 1928, Al Capone ruled Chicago. The lifeblood of his criminal empire was illegal alcohol. Capone controlled the politicians and the police. Virtually all elected and appointed officials were corrupt and were on the take in one way or another.
When Herbert Hoover became president of the United States, he set out to clean up Chicago. It was a daunting task, because the city had developed an all pervasive culture of corruption that made illegality the normal way of life. One of the things that Hoover did to get rid of the corruption was to have a U.S. District Attorney set up a team to shut down Capone's bootlegging operations. The problem in doing this was to find people who couldn't be corrupted. Enter Eliot Ness and the Untouchables. Exit Al Capone and the criminal element.
As many people who have seriously looked at our present immigration mess can tell you, most of America today, is as corrupt as was Chicago in Capone's day. Today, it's not illegal booze that is helping create a wink and nod lawless state but illegal aliens.
And why are so many people, including government officials, ignoring our laws? The answer is the same as it was in Chicago. They're profiting either psychologically, financially, or in votes from their winks and nods, and they're just doing what everyone else is doing.

Those who are the victims of this corruption are the good, decent citizens of this country who are playing by the rules and who expect their elected and appointed officials to uphold the law for the common good of citizens. What they're getting, is the assimilation of First World America into a Third World mentality. They're seeing their once safe cities become full of violent street crime. They're seeing their neighborhoods turn into ghettos. They're seeing their schools failing to teach. They're seeing their sons and daughters failing to get good jobs because illegal aliens are depressing the job market and holding wages down.
The corruption starts at the highest levels of government and the rot that this corruption is causing now goes down to the lowest levels of government. On the federal and state levels, elected officials are courting the Hispanic vote, so they wink and nod about illegal aliens--most of whom are Hispanic--and the officials appointed by these elected officials are going along with their elected bosses on looking the other way about enforcing our immigration laws, so their bosses can get the votes of a criminal, nation destroying, element. There is a pervasive don't ask, don't tell policy regarding illegal aliens.
On the local level, some police departments engage in what they apparently think is benevolent racial profiling in that they don't properly check driver's licenses, proof of insurance, and registration on routine traffic stops in order to not have to arrest and take illegal aliens to the local jails where the INS may run proper identification checks and then deport the criminals. Some cities are now accepting Mexican I.D. cards without questioning whether the bearer is even in the country legally.
Local charities engage in money laundering schemes by taking municipal tax money or private donations that are tax write-offs and then converting this clean money into "dirty" services, free food, free clothes, help with paying the utilities, help with paying the rent, and free medical and dental care for illegal aliens. The schools don't check for legal residency of the students and are ending up educating the children of Mexico to the detriment of the children of the United States.
Instead of one easily seen and targeted master criminal such as Al Capone, the new gangsters are diffused throughout our society as a general attitude of lawlessness has taken over. Large and small business owners are hiring illegal aliens under the table and income taxes aren't being paid. The illegal aliens work cheap and then supplement their low wages with the free things that they get from the charities which, as already mentioned, launder legal money into helping the illegals. Because the charities are tax exempt, they're taking tax money that should be going to the government to be used for the common good of citizens. The executives of these charities then take larger salaries for themselves because they can show that they have many "needy" people who they help. Of course, the charities don't check to see if these people are in the country legally. It's a big scam and, as already mentioned, it is U.S. citizens who are getting screwed in all this.
What we need in this country is a new Herbert Hoover and a new Eliot Ness to start bringing a respect for our laws back into vogue. We need courageous politicians, starting with a president of the United States who won't wink and nod to get votes, and who will act for the benefit of the citizens of this country, not for the benefit of illegal aliens.
One hopes that President George W. Bush will see the light, and understand that some sort of amnesty for illegal aliens is not good for the citizens of the United States, and that it will just increase the rotting effect on the fabric of our society. One can also hope that President Bush might try to understand why the vast majority of ordinary citizens are angry about illegal immigration. One can only dream that President Bush might try walking a mile in the shoes of average citizens; for in doing so, he would understand that average, good, decent citizens are daily seeing their American dream eroding with the arrival of every illegal alien.
Lest anyone suggest that the way to stop the illegality is to do away with our laws on immigration and let anyone who wants to come here come, I would suggest that to do that would be to immediately turn the U.S. into a Third World nation by flooding this country with millions and millions of people who were not productive in their old lands and who probably won't be productive enough, in large enough numbers, to offset the unproductive ones who can so easily come here.
It is time for the U.S. to prune itself and make itself better and stronger from the internal growth of our present legal population, instead of letting in millions of illegal aliens who may, in the short term, make profits for some captains of industry and who may make some neurotics feel as though they're helping humanity, and who may lead to some ethnic votes for some politicians; while dooming our nation to a future that is as bleak as the present in the lands that these illegal immigrants have fled.
