Little European-American girl murdered, illegal alien (?) sought. Welcome to Hole-in-the-wall Mesa, where criminals find sanctuary

by H. Millard (c) 2001

On September 21, sixteen year old European American Ceceline Godsoe was murdered in Costa Mesa. Her bludgeoned body was found in a park in the illegal alien infested Westside section of the city. Police have named Victor Manuel Garcia, also known as Victor Garduno and as Pumpkin Head, as the suspect. Senor Garcia/Garduno/Pumpkin Head is still on the loose and local police suspect that he has fled to Mexico.

When asked if Garcia/Garduno/Pumpkin Head is an illegal alien, Costa Mesa Police Department spokesperson Sgt. Don Holford told a local newspaper "That's a whole other issue. WE TRY NOT EVEN TO GO THERE" (emphasis added).

WE TRY NOT EVEN TO GO THERE!? Why?

Could it be because Costa Mesa has a don't ask, don't tell policy concerning illegal aliens?

Could it be because the Costa Mesa Police Department hands out free turkeys and other food to suspected illegal aliens on the holidays?

Could it be because the Costa Mesa Police Department announced some time ago that it wouldn't check for auto insurance on routine traffic stops--which many citizens have interpreted to mean that because there are so many illegal aliens in the city, and because there is an INS agent stationed at the Costa Mesa jail, that some in the CMPD don't want to have to bring illegal aliens to where the INS agent can get them and deport them?

Could it be because Costa Mesa's Police Chief who actually lives in tony Newport Beach and not in Costa Mesa, wrote a letter to a local newspaper saying that Costa Mesa is "blessed" because of its diversity? Citizens have suggested that if Costa Mesa is so blessed, then the Chief should sell his home in Newport Beach and move to the Westside of Costa Mesa. When a citizen wrote a letter to a newspaper in opposition to the Chief's positions, Costa Mesa police officers started parking their marked police cars in front of this citizen's home, and they didn't stop until the citizen complained to the City Manager and politicians.

Could it be because the establishment in Costa Mesa has worked out a symbiotic relationship with illegal aliens and NEEDS them to keep making money? "How do they do that?" you ask. It's simple. Costa Mesa is full of charities and the charities are expanding. These aren't charities as you normally think of them with a bunch of ersatz Mother Teresas wearing sack cloth and living on bread and water themselves. These are big business charities run by charity bigwigs who live in Newport Beach and in the finest neighborhoods of Costa Mesa and other cities. One charity big wig takes in more than $ 90,000 per year in personal salary. The charities in Costa Mesa are actually expanding. "Why? you ask again. Because they and the city funded Job Center are attracting illegal aliens to this city. Once here, the illegal aliens can't afford the prices, but they receive hidden income from the charities in the form of free medical and dental care, free food, free clothes, help with the rent, help with the utilities and much, much more. Then they get day work from the Job Center (which costs citizens $ 130,000 per year) and are often paid under the table. The employers don't have to worry about deducting taxes or in paying for medical and dental plans or even about paying a living wage, because the charities pick up the difference.

Many of these employers actually live in Newport Beach and other cities but commute to Costa Mesa to pick up the cheap labor. In fact, the city government of Newport Beach actually hires some of these workers to clean the beaches in Newport. Who pays for the Job Center? The citizens of Costa Mesa to the tune of $ 130,000 per year. You read that right. The local establishment says the Job Center is needed to keep day workers from loitering around the city looking for work. Baloney! We also have loitering day workers all over the city AND we have the Job Center. In a recent year the Job Center's attendance of day workers jumped 6,000 over the previous year. This is one of the reasons that many citizens are saying that the Job Center is a magnet drawing illegals to Costa Mesa.

What about ID checking at the Job Center? The city employee in charge told me that the Job Center would accept just about any ID "so long as it wasn't written in crayon."

Other parts of this evil establishment--slum lords--rent out tiny apartments to illegal aliens and look the other way as 12 or more illegal aliens then move into one bedroom units or into illegal garage apartments.

What about the City Council? Doesn't it try to do something to make Costa Mesa a better place for CITIZENS? Well, here's a clue. Mayor Libby Cowan, an arch liberal and the first openly lesbian Mayor of the city, actually used city resources to help organize and form what many citizens believe is a front group for illegal aliens. This front group then presented a formal proposal to the City Council to turn the Westside into what they called a new "Huntington Park," (a slum city 40 miles away up in central Los Angeles County that is known for having a large illegal alien population). Mayor Cowan has also repeatedly said that Costa Mesa needs "housing for the people who clean our offices." She also recently spoke before a largely Spanish speaking and presumably illegal alien audience concerning bringing in rent control to Costa Mesa.

In the wake of the events of September 11, President Bush says that America is going to go after nations that harbor terrorists. Well, Mr. Bush, how about going after U.S. CITIES that harbor street terrorists and criminals? How about making the streets of the United States safe from child murderers who kill our kids and then hot foot it across the border to Mexico where extradition laws will keep the U.S. from bringing them back, because Mexico won't extradite its nationals to any nation where they may face the death sentence or a prison term longer than the maximum forty year prison term that exists in Mexico?
