....During that show (Terry
Anderson, KRLA, Feb. 17), Simon was talking on the air with
caller Glenn Spencer, the controversial founder of American Patrol,
a Sherman Oaks group that advocates a halt to immigration and
harsh penalties for illegals.
Spencer: " . . . you really need Proposition
187 tested in the courts. Would you have your legal people look
at it, and once elected governor, (consider) resubmitting it
to the Court of Appeals?"
Simon: "Yeah, sure I'd be happy to have
them look at it. You know, I am a lawyer, I'm a federal prosecutor.
I'm the only candidate who's got the backing of law enforcement.
I'm very strong on the law..."
