TROOPS ON THE BORDER!
"First you have to deploy the U.S. military to the border to help the Border Patrol."
O'Reilly Factor, Wednesday, March 27, 2002
Bill O'Reilly O'REILLY: In the continuing problem on the Mexican border, a new study by the Mexican government says migration flows are inevitable and by the year 2030, the Mexican population in the USA will double to 18 million. Now, my analysis of the study is that the Mexican is saying, we can't stop the problem, so don't blame us.
Joining us now from Louisville, Kentucky, is David Simcox, chairman of the board of the Center for Immigration Studies.
What about your analysis of the study; do you concur with me that the Mexican government is saying this is inevitable, we can't stop it?
David Simcox of the CIS SIMCOX: I believe that is really the kernel of the study. The study admits, and some might even say, boasts, that immigration into the United States is going to be a lot higher than they projected just a few years back.
O'REILLY: And it's illegal immigration, not legal immigration.
SIMCOX: If the present pattern continues, it will be about 60 percent illegal immigration, maybe 75 percent illegal.

"Migration" -- Watch carefully how both Bush and Fox use the word "migration" -- they use it instead of illegal immigration. It is a clever trick to use the language to attempt to legalize what is illegal.
