Simon and the Shining Path to Amnesty

Catholic Charities Cheerleader Simon
"The majestic banner of the colors green, white and red, with the eagle devouring a serpent, part of the alter, gave an aura of unrestrained nationalism to the first Papal mass in Mexico."

SIMON SPEAKS OUT ON ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION

From air check off KPCC radio in Los Angeles, Monday, Feb. 25, 2001

SIMON: "I believe we ought to give people that are working, raising families, if you will, doing the right kinds of things, a path, not a pass, but a path; a way to a green card. Maybe it's a guest worker program, or what have you."

A green card means amnesty. Simon and Riordan belong to the same Catholic parish.
