who oppose Anaheim's decision to honor
ID's issued by the Mexican consulate far outnumbered reconquistas
at Anaheim City Hall. There were some physical attacks by reconquistas,
many of whom were communists associated with the Progressive
Labor Party. Anaheim police were slow to respond and did nothing
to discourage efforts by the communists to silence the speakers.
