American Patrol Featured in USA Today

A huge influx of immigrants, including as many as 11 million foreigners living in the country illegally, is helping to fuel backlash against newcomers to the USA. Immigrant groups report that they've been made scapegoats for problems ranging from the spread of disease to crowded schools and even have been accused of contributing to the extinction of the white race. They say they worry that the backlash could deepen if the economy worsens. -- "THE CENSUS PROVES WE ARE BEING INVADED," says an e-mail alert sent to 8,000 supporters by the American Patrol, an organization in Sherman Oaks, Calif., that opposes illegal immigration.
