CONTEST FOR BEST VIDEOS OF PEOPLE SNEAKING INTO THE U.S. FIRST PRIZE $ 1,000.00 ! American Patrol is sponsoring a contest for the best video shots of people sneaking into the United States. We need these videos to complete Part III of our documentary, Immigration: Threatening the Bonds of Our Union. They will also be useful in proving that the invasion continues unabated.
WHAT TO DO
Go to the border between February 24 and March 31 (When border crossings are at their highest) and shoot a video of intruders. Submit your clips to American Patrol by April 7, 2001. The First Prize of $1,000 will be awarded on April 22 during a special viewing of the best video clips and a preview of "Bonds of Our Union, Part III."Additional prizes will be announced in the near future.
RULES
To qualify, video clips must show when and where the shot was taken. We prefer Digital Video, then HI-8,then 8 mm, but all are acceptable. Video clips become the property of American Patrol, but if you really insist we can work out some other arrangement. We must have the right to use the clips in our documentary without charge, however.WHAT' ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We would like to see shots of as many people in a group coming in as possible. We are also interested situations where intruders are doing harm to property or the environment. Videos which demonstrate how easy intruders evade the Border Patrol are very useful.SUGGESTIONS
Find a good hot spot. Check with the Border Patrol to find out where intrusions are occurring. Also, check the INS Web page at ins.usdoj.gov.BE SAFE
Under no circumstance should you interfere or threaten the intruders. If you can, notify the Border Patrol when detecting intruders.KEEP POSTED
