Re: Santa Ana tops in Spanish-speakers

11/22/01

Dear Sir,

The Orange County Register had a front page story "Santa Ana tops in Spanish-speakers" by Valeria Godines and Ronald Campbell, 11/20/01. The extensive story said 74% of Santa Ana residents speak Spanish in the home. It had a chart showing the foreign born population at an incredible 53% of the populaton. What this story did not include was any discussion of illegal immigration, I believe, in an effort not to upset "La Raza" activists. In writing a major story about the O.J. Simpson trial, can a responsible newspaper leave out the part about the bloody glove? The Orange County Register and the emperor have no clothes.

Sincerely,

Larry B.
Riverside, Ca.
