| Anchor Babies | Paul gives Russert, a lawyer, a lesson
in constitutional law. |
| Drugs | Paul says give states the control
of drugs. "When they wanted to outlaw alcohol they had enough
respect for the Constitution to amend the Constitution." |
| Earmarks | Paul places earmarks for money for
his district, and then votes against them. He says he is opposed
to the income tax, but takes all tax credits. |
| Foreign Policy | Bringing troops home from hundreds
of bases would save enough to help end the income tax. Acting
as world policemen infuriates Muslims. |
| Civil Rights | The Civil Rights Act infringes on
individual property rights. |
| Religion/Fascism | "It reminds me what Sinclair
Lewis said, when fascism arrives in America it will be wrapped
in the flag, carrying a cross." |
| Republicanism | "I represent what Republicanism
used to be." |
| Income Tax | "I'd like to get rid of the
IRS and the income tax...If we got rid of the income tax, we'd
have about the same revenue as we had ten years ago." |
| Term Limits | He supports term limits, not voluntary
term limits. "There's a big difference," he says. Term
limits not that important, however. |
| War on Terror | We provoked the Muslims. "How
would we react if they were on our land doing what we're doing.
We would be fighting mad." |
| Run as Independent? | Has no plans. But leave him
a little "wiggle room." |
