President salutes law enforcers for capture of railroad suspect

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. (AP) - President Clinton saluted law enforcement officials and said ``all Americans can rest easier'' after Tuesday's arrest of Rafael Resendez-Ramirez, the suspect in the railroad murders. The president, on a daylong visit to Florida, issued a written statement after Resendez-Ramirez, suspected in eight killings, surrendered in El Paso, Texas.
