Re: Time to dump Rep. Chris Cannon (R-Utah)

A young man who is running against the corrupt, lawless Jabba-The-Hutt like Chris Cannon for U.S. Congress. Cannon has a stellar 25% approval rating in Provo-Orem which is his district; no one likes him or his sleazy, self interested politics. The only reason he has been elected in the past is due to his money, since he and his brother own the remnants of the Geneva Steel Works, a former U.S. Steel plant which is now running in bankruptcy. Mr. Cannon wants illegals in Utah because they will work cheap for him at his steel plant.

Defeating Mr. Cannon in Utah will be an uphill road for Throckmorton, since Cannon is highly connected in the Utah Republican Party, which has outdone itself lately to out-pander the Democrats regarding illegals. So send what you can. Getting rid of Cannon will be a real message to Jorge Bush, who needs to see that there is real political price to pay for surrendering to the narco-terrorists next door.

By the way, Cannon is currently embroiled in a dispute with the new head of the American Conservative Union, one Mr. Muth. Seems Cannon stands accused by Mr. Muth of owing him a million or so for a business venture, and not paying it back (example: Cannon paid himself $45000 last year for "maintaining" a web site the business venture had out of company funds. Muth said it could have been done for a lot less. He's right).

It's probably not a good thing to advertise yourself as a "conservative" and advocate mass lawbreaking, engage in sleazy business tactics that look suspiciously like lining your own pockets, and then hanging out with the single most anti-American hate group in the country, MALDEF.

Contribute to Throckmorton. He's a good American, with solid credentials, who won't be in Washington to make himself rich. Unlike Cannon.
