Civil Rights Commission Threatens American Patrol

November 16, 2001

ST. GEORGE (American Patrol) -- A meeting of the Utah Advisory Committee to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights was disrupted today when John F. Dulles, Regional Director of the Commission, threatened Glenn Spencer of American Patrol for handing out flyers advertising a meeting in the same hotel. Alerted by Dulles, hotel management told Spencer that if any more flyers were handed out to the public the police would escort him from the hotel.

Spencer is in St. George to inform the public of the failure of the INS to enforce immigration laws. According to the Civil Rights Commission, they are in St. George to stop discrimination against Hispanics.
