Tucson, AZ -- Yesterday CBP Border Patrol Agents arrested a sexual predator illegal alien. Wednesday at approximately 8:20 a.m., agents assigned to the Willcox Station were conducting routine patrols on Highway 191 near Willcox, when they received a call from Arizona Department of Public Safety. DPS had four individuals in custody and was requesting Border Patrol's assistance in identifying them. Upon arrival, the Border Patrol Agents were able to determine that the four individuals were illegal aliens from Mexico. All four were arrested and transported to the Willcox Border Patrol Station for processing.
At the Station, the Integrated Automated Identification System (IAFIS) identified one of the individuals, Jose Mariscal-Valles, a 45 year-old illegal alien from Mexico, as a child predator. Mariscal was convicted on August 10, 1981 of "Unlawful Sexual Intercourse with a Minor", and sentenced to 200 days in jail and 36 months probation. Mariscal was subsequently Ordered Removed from the United States as a result of his conviction, on August 19, 1981.
In Tucson Sector for the entire Fiscal Year 2005 (October 01, 2004 to September 30, 2005) Border Patrol Agents arrested 33,473 illegal aliens who had criminal records within the United States. Of those, 333 were for sexual offenses. U.S. Customs and Border Protection
