Tucson, AZ -- U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to the Nogales Border Patrol Station apprehended two illegal aliens with criminal records, last week.
On June 21, agents assigned to the Nogales Station encountered Walter Bobadilla-Ramos, a 39-year-old illegal alien from Guatemala, after he had illegally entered the United States by climbing the fence east of Nogales, AZ. Bobadilla was transported to the Douglas Station for processing, where the IAFIS system identified him as a wanted person in Los Angeles, CA. Bobadilla had a warrant for his arrest for "Penetration with a Foreign Object. Authorities in Los Angeles were contacted and extradition was confirmed. Bobadilla was turned over to the Cochise County Sheriff,s Office to await extradition. When Bobadilla is finished with his state charges in California, he will be processed for Removal by the Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Saturday, June 25, agents assigned to the Tucson Station encountered Jeremia Caixba-Beltran, a 22-year-old illegal alien from Mexico, just east of Sasabe, AZ. Caixba was transported to the Station where IAFIS revealed that he had been convicted in 2003 of "Sexual Battery in Greenville, Ohio, and was sentenced to two years in prison. As a result of his conviction, Caixba was Ordered Removed by an Immigration Judge, and was subsequently removed from the United States later in 2003.
Caixba is currently being held for prosecution under Section 8 of the United States Criminal Code, subsection 1325, "Entry without Inspection.
For the Fiscal Year 2005, Border Patrol Agents in the Tucson Sector have arrested 26,271 illegal aliens who have had criminal records in the United States. Of those, 272 have been for sexually related offenses.
