Re: School board rejects residency proof
Sarah Tully Tapia, Orange Co. Register, October 26, 200110/26/01
It must have taken every bit of Ms. Tapia's journalism training to find a quote by the Latino activists at the AUHSD meeting that didn't contain a personal attack or slur of Harald Martin. Nativo Lopez called Mr. Martin a "hateful evil racist", a Hispanic female echoed these slurs but went a little further by saying Mr. Martin should be arrested and jailed for a "hate crime". One self-proclaimed illegal Latino high school student proudly proclaimed "this town was a German town, but we've taken it back and we're not going anywhere".
On NBC, an American citizen student stated that she was very concerned about illegal aliens who might be seated next to her in class. What a shame the AUHSD Board members don't share the same concerns for citizens and legal immigrant students.
AUHSD should take steps to have Plyler v. Doe overturned, the decision that requires illegal aliens be given free education. Deny any new enrollments to illegal aliens due to overcrowding, and when sued by anti-American Latino activist groups, take it to the Supreme Court. Believe me, 90% of Americans citizens are behind you, and we are the ones who count, and pay your salaries!
