The public is urged to attend the DIS action on Marietta Square Monday morning – Columbus Day
D.A. King, president of the Dustin Inman Society and a recognized authority on illegal immigration and 287 (g) will make a short statement on the nationwide effort to halt use of 1996 federal immigration law to locate and report to federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) authorities illegal aliens charged with crimes in addition to illegal immigration in local jails. Questions – in the English language – from the media are encouraged.
Ms. Inger Eberhart, member of the DIS Board of Advisors will also make a short statement addressing the ACLU/La Raza/GALEO originated charges of “racial profiling” against local law enforcement officials who have taken advantage of the 1996 287 (g) tool in local jails.
“While brave Border Patrol Agents risk – and lose - their lives to apprehend illegal border crossers, a growing number of Georgia sheriffs are standing tall and making their communities safer with use of the 287 (g) tool that is so hated by the open borders lobby” said King. “All Americans who value safety and security and demand an equal application of our immigration laws should speak up in defiance of the shameless race-baiting smears that constantly spew from the well-funded groups who use illegal aliens to further their extreme leftist agenda” King added.
The Dustin Inman Society happily cites numerous news reports of illegal aliens fearfully migrating out of communities whose sheriffs are using 287 (g). Also, that earlier this year, Gwinnett County sheriff Butch Conway, working with ICE discovered more than 900 illegals in the Gwinnett jail in a twenty-six day period. More than half had prior criminal records. New charges against the fugitive aliens included murder, rape, kidnapping, felony drug offense and family violence.
Not many Americans accept the demented position that removing any illegal alien from our communities somehow makes us “less safe” as is the position of open borders groups like La Raza, the ACLU and the Georgia Association of Latino Elected Officials (GALEO).
Named for a sixteen year-old Woodstock, Georgia youth who lost his life to our unsecured borders, the Dustin Inman Society is opposed to illegal immigration, illegal employment and open borders.
