While your editorialists get an A for their persistent advocacy for open borders and few limits on immigration, they get a D for failure to consider the problems and injustice occurring. They get an F for repeating an ill used statistic, from their source, to bolster their argument that immigrants are a positive benefit to our economy. While 28% of all patents may have been awarded to immigrants, not a single one was given to an illegal alien. Those inventions were made by scientists brought to America and other highly gifted, fully documented immigrants.

It doesn't add any weight to their argument, to continue repeating the many strengths immigrants have brought, and continue to bring to America; almost everyone agrees. The harms and unfairness their editorial refuses to recognize, include the fact that the present immigrant problem involves "illegal" immigrants. They also fail to address the vast number of immigrants from one single culture that have descended on us; a number so large that they are not being assimilated into America's culture. And, they are being encouraged not to assimilate: that means more trouble.

It is patently unfair to legalize the hoards from one country that is overwhelming us, while at the same time, we exclude or severely limit, those from other countries further away from us, who grow old, legally waiting their turn. The editorialist's advocacy is not credible and cannot be accepted as legitimate, until they also address the problems and unfairness of the present illegal invasion.
