It's disturbing to read that the Anti-Defamation League has accused Arizona defenders of border enforcement as racist and akin to anti-semites. Perhaps the ADL has forgotten its own poll from last June which found that found more than twice as many foreign-born Hispanics were likely to be highly anti-semitic (44%) compared to US-born Hispanics (20%).
Doesn't the ADL realize that in supporting open borders, it is welcoming more anti-semitism into America?
Furthermore, the Mexican border remains a lawless human on-ramp, easing the illegal crossing of potential terrorists as well as Mexicans looking for American jobs. Persons who are not Mexicans or Latin Americans do enter the U.S. from Mexico, some of whom are Middle Easterners from terror-supporting nations.
If anything, the ADL should join with the Arizonans to support far more serious border enforcement, including the deployment of military troops there to stem the chaos. We cannot have homeland security with open borders.

5/7/03 -- To the Arizona Republic [NOT PUBLISHED]Dear Editor: Who are these folks speaking up for the Anti Defamation League? They are incredibly ignorant about anti semitism and the American volunteers at the border. Moreover, they should take a look in the web sites of the Reconquistas. Talk about anti semitism! The Jews persecuted by the Nazis had not committed a crime. Illegal aliens are criminals who sneak into our country by breaking our immigration laws, not to mention smuggling drugs as well and destroying property.
I am Hispanic and I actively support American Border Patrol, Civil Homeland Defense and Ranch Rescue. I consider these courageous Americans true patriots. If I were younger, I would be there with them guarding our border.
We are against ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION, regardless of nationality or skin color.
All three of these volunteer organizations have members of many ethnic and racial backgrounds. We have Americans of Mexican descent, Native Americans, Asian Americans, black Americans and yes, Jewish Americans! Jesse Jackson would be envious of "our" Rainbow Coalition!

5/7/03 -- Dear ADL,I am a Mexican/American and I am incensed that your group is attacking friends of mine as bigoted and racist.
I am an acquaintance of Glenn Spencer and Jack Foote and for your group to accuse them of attacking illegal aliens as like "anti-Semitic" is a total falsehood! Both men have treated me favorably and I agree with what they are doing to protect our Nation and it's laws.
Our borders and immigration laws are in place for a purpose. They are "JUST" laws and protect our Nation and our citizens security.
Glenn Spencer and Jack Foote to my knowledge care not about Mexican Nationals entering the U.S. legally as the law allows, but Spencer, Foote, my family as well as my relatives and friends do not agree with illegal immigration into our Country.
As Mexico protects their borders with a VENGEANCE, we American citizens have every right to protect our BORDERS also, and believe me we will!
ADL has no damn right to attack American citizens for protecting their Nation. ADL is out of line!
