California Reconquista Bills

10/2/01

Two bills are on California Governor Gray Davis' desk awaiting a signature or a veto. They are:

AB-60 (Cedillo) - Allows illegal aliens to get driver's licenses. Update: Bill pulled from Davis' desk October 3, 2001
AB-540 (Firebaugh) - Allows illegal alien students to pay in-state tuition to attend state colleges.

Some of the terrorists who participated in the attack on the World Trade Center had easily-obtained Virginia driver's licenses. Some of the terrorists were illegal aliens.

There is no reason why illegal aliens should get discounts on college tuition while Americans from other states have to pay full tuition. This is tantamount to rewarding illegal aliens who should be deported, not educated at taxpayer's expense.

Please consider contacting Governor Davis about these two bills. You might wish to thank him for vetoing Cedillo's driver's license bill last year, and encourage him to veto both of these reconquista bills. If Davis doesn't veto them they will automatically become law on or about October 14, 2001.
