AB60, the illegal alien driver license bill sponsored by Assemblyman Gil Cedillo has been pulled from the inactive file and sent to Governor Davis to sign into law! This bill will make it possible for illegal aliens, criminals and TERRORISTS to get multiple California Driver Licenses, establish a new identity and evade the law.
Call the governor and tell him to VETO AB60. Tell him this is an insult to the 3,000 people who were murdered on Sept 11th by terrorists who obtained multiple state driver licenses to help them plan and carry out their murderous attack.
Call, fax or email Governor Davis, and tell him to VETO AB 60.

Report from Sacramento - August 27, 2002
Rick Oltman, Western Regional Director of FAIR, reports that ACR229, a measure that encourages the acceptance of sham Mexican ID's, and AJR57, a measure that objects to the use of local law enforcement to catch immigration scofflaws, thereby protecting illegal aliens, both passed in the senate today. -- As to the issue of granting illegal aliens driver's licenses, the usual suspects (MALDEF, Nativo Lopez, La Raza, etc.) spoke out against any amendments to the bills involved that would protect national security. This is still up in the air. Click here for limited info. PHOTOS

Demands by Davis Threaten Bill to License Illegal Alien Drivers
A proposed compromise aimed at inducing Gov. Gray Davis to sign legislation allowing illegal immigrants to obtain California drivers' licenses faced a new and potentially fatal firestorm of opposition Tuesday.
Legislators who voted for the bill last year, including Senate leader John L. Burton, criticized a second bill intended to settle the controversy as an unfair remedy that would make California immigrants the scapegoats for the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11.Past Features
