At the winter solstice, (this year Dec. 22), the sun rises right at the top of San Pedro Mountain just to the south in Mexico. Just before sunrise, the shadow of San Pedro Mountain almost coincides with the profile of Miller Peak in the Huachuca Mountains to the northwest in Arizona....

The three U.S. Border Patrol vehicles are parked about 40 feet north of the border fence. --"Border Patrol vehicles are oftentimes seen parked together in pairs, and sometimes a group of three. It is anybodies guess as to what the are doing parked together this way," Spencer said.
