Sasabe Fence Falls Short

October 3, 2007

On Aug. 23, 2007 the Arizona Daily Star reported, that DHS was going to construct 7 miles of primary border fence near Sasabe, Arizona. According to an aerial survey conducted by American Border Patrol on October 1, only 3.3 miles of single layer pedestrian barrier had been constructed. "We are continuing to analyze our data, however I can say quite assuredly that DHS has not kept its promises," said Glenn Spencer of ABP. Spencer said a complete summary will be available Friday, October 5.
